Appointments are available between, 9am and 6pm, Wednesday and Friday (commencing in 2026, I will be working two days per week). I have some flexibility in providing consultations in early morning or evening if regular hours are inconvenient. All sessions are 50 minutes in duration. Please note, you will need a referral from your GP and a current Mental Health Treatment Plan to access the Medicare rebate. If you bring your Medicare card to your first session, I will be able to process the rebate for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note, the full cost of the session will be charged if 24 hours notice of cancellation is not provided. Non-attendance will also incur the full cost of the session.

Medicare

By receiving  a GP referral to the Better Access program, you are entitled to ten Medicare rebated sessions per annum. My current fee is $200 per session and Medicare will rebate $98.97 per session. This can be claimed either online via the MyGov website or, if you have your Medicare card with you, I can process the rebate for you.

Telehealth

Telehealth services will continue to be provided in 2024 although the Australian Government will no longer be providing the additional 10 sessions. A Medicare rebate can still be accessed for Telehealth as long as you have a current Mental Health Treatment in place from your GP. Telehealth services  includes phone, FaceTime and WhatsApp. If you would like more information about this service, please feel free to contact me to discuss.

Workcover, DVA and NDIS

I am registered in Queensland as a Workcover provider and a Dept of Veteran Affairs (DVA) provider. Psychological services via Workcover and DVA require a GP referral. The full cost of the service is covered and no additional fees are charged.

I am not a registered NDIS provider but I am able to see NDIS clients via the plan management system. The full cost of service is covered by the plan.

Health Funds and Private Payments

If you have comprehensive health insurance, you are likely to have extras cover for services such as psychological treatment. If you do not wish to  see a GP for a referral to the Better Access program, you may be entitled to a rebate from your private health insurance. Please check with your health insurance company what rebate you can access as there is great variation across the private health insurers. You can also choose to pay the full fee without access to any rebates in which case you will not need a GP referral.
